"The ranger stops momentarily, surveying her surroundings. Another day, another contract. Her beast companion, a massive white wolf, paws noisily at the ground. 'Quiet,' she scolds. 'Stay low, we're close.' The wolf bows its head in understanding.
A nearby village put up the bounty. At first, livestock had gone missing. Now, children. The ranger and her companion crest the hill and come to the edge of a precipice. Looking at the smoldering branches, stifling a cough at the gruesome smell of burnt flesh, the ranger sighs, believing she has a pretty good idea what sort of monster she's hunting. She waits on the edge of the ruined forest for a moment, drawing an arrow from her quiver.
Then, a loud, ear splitting roar.
She sighs. 'Come on then,' she nods to the wolf, 'there's good coin in dragons.'"
